Here at Iperdesign we love video games. So, we were extremely excited that E3 was happening. E3 is a yearly expo where all the big gaming development companies get together to showcase upcoming video games. Here, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, among others, got the chance to wow gamers all around the world. There were new trailers, exclusive gameplay, surprising reveals, everything a gamer would want! So, lets start going through the best of 2018's E3.
Sony is the owner and creator of the Playstation. So, it's no surprise that they revealed multiple titles for the gaming platform. Sony got the crowd excited by incorporating exclusive gameplay. These include The Last of Us 2, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding. They also featured the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3, where the trailer teased Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story and Frozen worlds. Some of these video games are new reveals, but others are long awaited by gamers and fans alike. Sony also announced the remake of Resident Evil 2. Sony's marketing strategy of giving us a more in-depth look at these upcoming games left people excited.
Like Sony, Microsoft is also the owner and creator of a gaming platform; Xbox. Microsoft took a different approach with marketing their upcoming video games. Instead of a more in-depth presentation, Microsoft capitalized on showcasing a diverse amount of games and trailers. They not only announced their Xbox-only titles (Halo Infinite, Gears 5 and Forza), but also surprised audiences with new video games like Cyberpunk 2077. Although, one of the biggest surprises was Microsoft's announcement that the next generation of Xbox is in the works.
With it's new console being released in 2017, Nintendo was bound to reveal new games for its new gaming system; the Switch. Nintendo decided to give both trailers and gameplay for its reveals. Audiences got a better glance at Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee with an extensive gameplay. Not only that, but Nintendo revealed two new games which include our favorite plumber, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Mario Party. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, all characters return, and with the addition of new characters, you get to play with 68 characters in total. Along with these titles, Nintendo announced that Fortnite will now be available on the Switch.
These weren't the only video games highlighted at E3. There were dozens! One of the other big titles announced was Assassin's Creed Odyssey. The Assassin's Creed franchise goes to Ancient Greece for this video game. Other big titles revealed were Battlefield 5 and Fallout 76. Many of the titles announced at E3 are expected to come out within the end of the year and beginning of next year. Many of them are available for preorder.
